After spending the last few weeks learning about the the first Bobbies and the outfits the Police used to wear 100 years ago, we were thrilled to have a visit by PC O' Shaunessy today.
She showed us her uniform and told us about her job policing in London. We loved spotting the differences between the equipment on her duty belt and that used by the old Police force. She had so many coats it was great to try on the different versions that she uses for different callouts.
We matched her number on her coat and shirt and she told us about the alphabet code the Police use so they do not mix up information. We were surprised to find a first aid kit and notepads on her belt as well as handcuffs. She was so good at answering questions that we could not stop asking them!
We know we can ask a Police person if we ever need help or want to know anything.
We would like to thank PC O' Shaunessy for sharing her outfits with us and explaining everything brilliantly.
