We instantly recognised where our key opened this week as soon as we saw the roof! It was the Health Centre. So we packed our Doctors bag and set off to make everyone better. We have spent lots of time in the role play this week treating patients and making appointments. We have thought about different parts of our bodies and used names to label them.
Miss Hawkins read us a story about 'Big Smelly Bear' and we decided that he really needed to start looking after himself. We gave him some ideas about how to keep clean and stay healthy. We also were very sensible deciding on what was safe to put in our body and on our body. We remembered a catchy phrase to help us learn, 'If we don't know what it is, don't touch it!'
We have been practising our sounds lots and lots and have made words that we can sound out and blend. Can you read some of them in the photographs?
The pictures of our favourite foods have been great to look through and we found out just how many people love to eat pasta!
Lots of us want to be doctors when we grow up so we better keep on learning!
