As usual we've had a busy few weeks in Blue and Yellow Class.
We have been exploring our mini beast topic through the idea of being shrunk down. We thought about what a garden would look like if we were smaller than an ant. We made our own giant garden, drew pictures and then each wrote our own story about adventures we might have if we were that tiny in a garden.
We then went on to think about magical gardens, and what would happen if we were given the ability to make things grow and transport from garden to garden. In our magical gardens we had a problem though! A grumpy human kept coming and destroying our habitats. We enjoyed the chance to meet him and explain how important it was that he stopped straight away.
We hope you like the pictures of us making and designing our own garden.
We're looking forward to thinking about the life cycle of a butterfly in the coming days and then writing our own reports on everything we have learnt.
Amongst all this busyness we have been lucky enough to be visited by the author Trish Cooke who inspired the children to think of themselves as authors and also gave us the treat of reading some of her stories to us.
