Year Two had a great time exploring the theme of prayer on our RE day. We came up with some questions we would like to answer, such as, do you have to be a Christian to pray? Do you have to be in a special place or say special words to pray? and how does God hear everyone at the same time?! We came back to these questions throughout the day and decided that some had answers we could find and some were trickier and caused us to wonder!
A key part of our day was spending some time in the prayer space set up by members of GenR8 in St Mary's church. We did lots of calm and interesting activities such as thinking about people we want to remember, writing our hopes and dreams about when we grow up, using our finger prints to think about how unique and special we are and spending some time looking at the bubbles in the bubble tube and sending our thoughts and prayers up to God.
We all had a great time and would like to thank GenR8 and the volunteers who made this lovely and calming experience possible for us.
