Rope bridges span the playground.

On Friday a group of children from both Yellow and Blue class had a challenge.
They had been studying rope bridges in the tree tops of the Amazon jungle and generating questions about whether they looked SAFE, STURDY and STABLE.
Then they were then given a box full of materials to try and create their own. They chose to string the bridge between two trees near the Year 2 classes. They had  lots of fun testing each bit, but decided that they could travel under the bridge but not over it. You can see their interesting design below.
At playtime the rest of the class came out to look at their efforts and applaud them for their ingenuity.
