School Improvement

At Linton CE Infants we are always looking to improve and our priorities are outlined in our School Improvement Development Plan (SIDP). Within this plan we outline our key development objectives within the areas of Leadership and Management, Quality of Teaching and Learning, Outcomes for Pupils, Quality of EYFS Provision and Children's Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare. This plan is adopted and monitored by all staff and governors and our priorities are shared with parents and children with information about how they can help us to achieve our aims.

The priorities identified for 2016-2017 are;

  • To improve the outcomes for children at the end of Key Stage 1
  • To improve the progress of vulnerable groups to be closer to the overall average progress
  • To improve outcomes in phonics for children in Year 1 and 2
  • To embed new assessment systems
  • In light of staff changes ensure all teaching is good or better
  • Encourage children to take a deeper sense of pride in themselves and the school
