Today we were all scientists. We investigated how different shapes float or fly through the air. We looked at catching air in a parachute to float an egg to the ground safely. Then we created 'O' wing planes and explored which size of circles made the plane fly the furthest. After that we added many 'O '
shapes to see if this helped the plane catch the wind or caused air resistance.
During the afternoon we made whizzy helicopter propellers that spun to the ground and finally we built a rotocopter out of a balloon. We flew our rotocopter by using the hot air from a hairdryer. We tried to push it high into the air and then land it smack in the middle of a landing zone!
