School Improvement

At Linton CE Infants we are always looking to improve and our priorities are outlined in our School Improvement Development Plan (SIDP). Within this plan we outline our key development objectives within the areas of Leadership and Management, Quality of Teaching and Learning, Outcomes for Pupils, Quality of EYFS Provision and Children's Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare. This plan is adopted and monitored by all staff and governors and our priorities are shared with parents and children with information about how they can help us to achieve our aims.

The priorities identified for 2019-2020 are;

  • To improve the outcomes for children in reading and phonics in all year groups
  • To closely monitor the progress of all children and groups of children to maintain and improve outcomes in all year groups
  • To develop our middle leaders so that all subjects are closely monitored and that there is clear progression 
  • To develop questioning and dialogue skills of all staff to further improve the quality of support
  • To embed our approach in EYFS that promotes high levels of involvement and deep learning through active play
  • To support children and staff's emotional development and wellbeing
