I moved to linton around 15 years ago, having grown up in Cambridge. I absolutely love this village and everything it has to offer. My daughter attended the school before moving up, and still talks about wanting to come back! I joined as a parent governor, whilst my daughter was at the school, and last year took the role of safeguarding governor due to my experience in this field.
Professionally, I have over 20 years experience working with children and families, and have spent the last decade as a Social Work manager in Children’s Service. During my career I have worked in many different functions; children homes, child protection teams, with children in care, in the court arena, domestic abuse teams, and have a wealth of experience with children and families, including safeguarding, domestic abuse, contextual safeguarding, mental health, drug and alcohol misuse, experience and more recently as a Child Protection Chair, Independent Review Manager and LADO (Local Authority Designated Officer).
