At Linton C.E. Infant school we firmly believe that 'Maths is everywhere, everyday'. We  are dedicated to ensuring each child is enabled to feel confident in and enjoy mathematics.  We aim to develop fluency in number, problem solving skills as well as ensuring children 'see' the maths in real life contexts and understand how maths makes links throughout the curriculum 

We teach maths daily in discrete lessons, although links are made to the topic wherever possible. There is a strong emphasis on real-life examples and applying the skills they are learning in meaningful contexts.

We have adopted a White Rose Maths approach. We are currently participating in NCETM maths project "Mastering Number".
