Remote Learning

Remote Learning (COVID-19)

The following information is designed to inform you and support you with our remote learning provision. The school are following DfE guidance (p. 46 - 50) and have used a balanced report from Ofsted to plan our school offer for our community.

We know that remote learning will be a challenge for the majority of parents / carers. We therefore recommend strongly that you contact the school team if you are feeling anxious about any aspect of remote learning. One of our strengths is that class teams are the ones looking after your children's remote learning so the relationships and knowledge about your child(ren) remains. Class teams will be communicating regularly and the suite of communication tools within our systems will and can be used by all to support relationships.

Remote Learning requires structure and we will be supporting you with weekly timetables and ideas such as ensuring pupils get up at the normal time and get ready for learning .

Remote Learning is not all about online provision and we will support you through resource packs, a mixture of online and independent learning tasks and of course our culture of getting out  and being active too.

Remote Learning cannot replicate the school experience and we all should not expect it to do so. The DfE have provided the school with Catch up funding and we are planning our additional resource provision for when we once again return to school.
