A brilliant day with Kym and Freddy Teddy from Mini First Aid. We learnt what to do if we hurt ourselves, if our grown up needs help and what to say if we need to ring 999. Every class had a 30 minute session and learnt a huge amount whilst also having fun!
Wow! What a treat we had today. For our special bonfire lunch we had hotdogs, beans, sweetcorn and ketchup! Then there was an incredible selection of puddings to choose from. In the words of one year two "best lunch ever!" All eaten whilst watching videos of firework displays on the big screen. Fantastic and delicious.
In assembly today we introduced our maths ambassadors! There are 2 representatives from each class and they are going to spread the word about how brilliant maths is! They will be setting their classes challenges to prove that maths really is everywhere and everyday!
What an amazing job we did on our sponsored walk this afternoon. The whole school ventured out around the village and covered just over 2 miles. Amazing generosity from our families means we have so far raised just over £1400. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for your generous donations to our harvest festival. It was lovely to be all together in St. Mary's to celebrate all the wonderful food we are lucky enough to enjoy. The donations will be used within our local community and the local food bank. A great way to demonstrate our focus value of GENEROSITY.

Fundraising this year is going to prove quite tricky for the school and your PTFA. So many of our much-loved events are groups of staff and parents coming together which is not permitted at the moment. We are busy thinking of alternative ways to raise funds!
Lots of projects were funded over the summer break but there are still more exciting projects in the pipeline at school which require financial backing. So, to kick-start our fundraising year we will be holding a sponsored event which will get everybody up and moving.
On Friday 23 October we will be holding a sponsored run/walk. We will set out a course around the school grounds and each class will have a designated slot to see how many times they can make it round. We will then be able to find out just how many miles each class has travelled and look at where this would take them on a map. Mrs Harries will be joining each class and aims to walk/run the equivalent of the London Marathon, which she was due to run on behalf of the NSPCC. We hope you will agree to the sponsorship raised being split between the school and the NSPCC.
We hope the children will enjoy this activity and we would be really grateful for any amount, however small, that they can raise to put towards our projects.
By involving the children we aim to embrace a team spirit, promote a sense of achievement and raise their awareness of what the school, PTFA and community do to improve their school.
We would prefer that any sponsor money is donated online via our Go Fund Me page;
However, we appreciate that sometimes cash/cheque is an easier option. If this is the case, we would be grateful if any sponsor money and the sponsor form could be sent into school by Thursday 5th November via the drop box outside the school office in a labelled envelope. Cheques payable to Linton Infants PTFA.
