I am a recently retired Deputy Headteacher from a 3-11 yr school in Hertfordshire. I taught nursery – Yr 6 and was an RE specialist and school inspector. I am a Lay Reader in the Church of England and attend St Mary’s Linton.
I was a Foundation school governor for 20 years at a church Infant school, also serving as Chair of Governors for some time.
I have four daughters and 3 grandchildren, and enjoy quilting, sewing and making wedding dresses. With my new found time I love to bake, ice cakes and garden and I’m about to take on a vegetable allotment!
As well as reading, theatre, cinema and walking the dog on the beaches in Norfolk, I have started piano lessons and I’m learning a new skill - upholstery! I am greatly looking forward to serving as a governor at the Infant School.
