I have been a Foundation Governor at Linton Infants School since November 2013.
I have lived in Linton for most of my life and love being part of our community with my family. I attended the three Linton schools. Since July 2013 I have been working at the school as a teaching assistant and this also helps me have a greater understanding of the school plans.
From 1984 to 2013 my career was in Financial Services. During those years I had a wide range of roles including administration clerk, cashier, legal officer, financial adviser and office manager; however the majority of my time in Financial Services was as the training manager of a building society. My skills and background have helped me find my niche on the personnel committee.
In September 2016 I took on the Safeguarding Link Governor role. Although the whole governing body has responsibility for safeguarding, the additional areas I undertake include visiting the school at least once a term to ensure that the policies and practices are effectively implemented at our school.
